Embellishments = Extra Credit
We Teased the Embellishments at our Online Event. Now for the Quiz.
Look, we know it’s summer, school’s out, nobody wants homework, and we respect that completely. But we did spend some time at our last online event walking through our embellishment offerings, and we thought it would be fun to see who was actually paying attention versus who had us muted while eating lunch (honestly, we do this all the time too… so not judgement).
No wrong answers. Well, actually, there are wrong answers, that’s how quizzes work. Let’s go.
⭐️ Question 1: Your client wants something trendy but grounded, fun but not obnoxious, something to give a personal feel, and they can’t really explain it beyond that. You’ve heard this before. You recommend:
A) Asking them to send you a Pinterest board and hoping for the best
B) Charm D-rings with loops
C) A different career
D) Just sending them the same tote you always send them
Answer: B. Charm D-rings are small metal loops that attach to the tote and give your client a place to clip on charms, branded accessories, keychains, whatever feels right for them, without changing the bag itself at all. It’s the kind of detail that reads as intentional and current without screaming for attention, which is exactly what that client was trying to describe. You just knew the words. You’re so smart.
⭐️ Question 2: True or false: rope handles are only available in black and white because we like to play it safe with colors.
Answer: False, very false. Rope handles come in 8 rope colors and 9 plastic end cap colors, and you can mix and match them however you want. They’re available on most of our open totes, and they turn a classic canvas bag into something that looks like it belongs in a boutique rather than a trade show booth. There’s a pricing page if you want to get into specifics before you bring it to a client.
⭐️ Question 3: A client wants their logo on a tote but they specifically said “nothing flat, it has to feel like quality.” What decoration method do you pitch?
A) You tell them flat is underrated
B) Embroidery
C) Sublimation
D) You refer them to someone else and take the afternoon off
Answer: B. Embroidery stitches the design directly into the product, so it’s textured, dimensional, and it holds up in a way that other methods sometimes don’t. It’s available on a range of soft goods including totes, pouches, and hats, and there are a lot of thread colors to choose from, so you’re not limited to the basics. We know some of you went ahead with answer D… and well, we get it.
Scoring:
3/3 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ You were definitely paying attention at the event, or you’ve been spending a lot of time on the website, either way we’re into it.
2/3 - ⭐️⭐️ Solid. You can still use this post as a cheat sheet when you’re in front of a client.
1/3 - ⭐️ Hey, at least you’re reading this now.
0/3 - 🔭 We’re not mad, we’re just going to keep sending you content until something sticks.
Everything above lives on our Embellishments page. Go check it out, bookmark it, and pull it up next time a client says they want something a little extra, because now you have a whole page of answers.
